Humility

Somebody needs to hear this today. Pride always precedes a fall. Take an account of yourself before it's too late. Pride is the opposite of humility. 
The somebody is me. 

Starting the new year learning a hard lesson. Studying in Gods Word this morning and feeling so much conviction over my self reflection. Even the very act of being a Christian could land you in pride. Pride is not the same as proud. Pride is ugly, it's sneaky too. Pride looks inwardly to yourself as if you are the reason for good. You and I are not good. The good in us is Jesus Christs Holy Spirit. Understand this and all pride fades. There is nothing good in me except you Lord. Thank him daily for the blessings, for HIS sacrifice and for the spirit of the living God that resides in you now, each day leading you into doing the right thing, when everything in you wants to do the very opposite. Thank Him for everything great, knowing it is nothing you have done, but Him. We are sheep, without a shepherd without Him. Without Jesus we are nothing.
